I decided to revisit my Flickr feed recently, which has been neglected for a few years now, mainly due to the dominance of Facebook in my online life.
Flickr is another place to get lost in lots of visual goodness, back up your images, and share with friends/family. But with ever increasing social channels, where does Flickr fit?
Flickr is indeed a social channel, allowing you interact with other users, join groups and follow users. But to me, the key is the ability to store full resolution images, catalogue, tag and organise them into albums and collections. You can share photos publicly or keep them private. The site uses Creative Commons for licensing, so if you’re feeling generous you make some of your images available for conditional third party use. The mobile and desktop apps make it easy to upload and browse the service.

I’ll be adding to it regularly!
