Time Out: 5 days in Melbourne

I’ve just had five great days in Melbourne with a few friends.  We’ve seen a lot of great art, architecture, and crazy amounts of retail.  I’ve never seen so many cafés and restaurants either!  Certainly consumed some great food there – best meal would have to be at Taxi Kitchen in Federation Square – the “tasting menu” was incredible (and the portions were huge – not really “tasting” size!).  Retail-wise I have to say it would be great to have Zara here in NZ.

Had to keep reminding myself that there are 4 million people in Melbourne, the population of NZ, in one city.  Coming home I realise that I barely scratched the surface of that huge city, so I look forward to going back!
